About
Femi Kayode
Femi Kayode started out in advertising after deciding that being a Clinical Psychologist was not his forte. He horned his copywriting skills at InsightGrey, Lagos and took sabbaticals to be a Packard Fellow at the University of Southern California (2001) and later, a Packard-Gates Fellow at the University of Washington, Seattle. He moved to Namibia in 2004, and is a partner and Chief Creative Officer at Adforce, a Publicis Groupe Affiliated agency.
He has written and developed several award-winning shows for TV and Film. His debut novel, Lightseekers, published in 2021, won the Little Brown/UEA Crime Fiction Award and was a Crime Novel of the Month in 9 UK publications including The Sunday Times, The Guardian and The Herald. The New York Times called Lightseekers ‘a delight’, and Booklist’s starred review referred to Femi Kayode’s writing as ‘incandescent’.
His ethos regarding brands is simple: brand strategy is business strategy.
